Marketplace Fee Comparison for Sellers

TikTok Shop, Amazon and Shopify all create different cost structures. Comparing only headline fees is misleading because each platform changes fulfillment, traffic, conversion and customer ownership.

Amazon

Amazon can provide demand and conversion, but referral fees, FBA fees, storage and PPC must be included. The product must survive both platform fees and ranking-related ad spend.

TikTok Shop

TikTok Shop can drive discovery, but discounts, creator samples and paid traffic can become part of the real acquisition cost. Pricing needs room for promotion.

Shopify

Shopify gives more control over brand and customer data, but sellers usually pay more to acquire traffic. Payment fees, apps and fulfillment should be included in CAC planning.
